Do not know the actual use and am hazarding a shot.

Why use a KVM? Why not use VNC client on one system with server on the
other. Thus you will be able to see the other desktop native. What you
would miss out is boot time access. That can be achieved using serial
terminal access in boot line arguments and a terminal program on the
second system.

Hi Dhanagopal,

If you are not experimenting on ethernet driver related things / network
related things then
VNC  is a very good option.

Approximate cost of 2 port KVM switch is Rs.1500.
