They didn't know that they need to put a header in source files
containing author name, copyright, year, license information.
Even though they were projects, it is essential that they know all these.
The only good advantage for students that I see is that they are not
given heavy work, assignments, lab work et. al. This gives the
students lot of free time, wherein if they have the desire and
passion, they can really spend time with FOSS, and acquire lot of
skills and knowledge. As always, 5% of any class are only active.
