Fedora runs reasonable number of services when it enters runlevel 5.
considering this, it is really good speed. I don't know much about
ArchLinux, can you tell me what are all the services available when it
boots in 9 seconds.
On a similar note, theres a tool called initng which strips off your
boot time, my ubuntu desktop has reduced its boot time to 9-12 secs
flat. Dont know about fc5 though.
