Coimbatore colleges -- especially the self-financing engg colleges --

positive reputation of working in collaboration, e.g., they were among

first to have common recruitment melas.

While the meet could be rotated amongst colleges, it may be preferable to
have an apex institution to fall back on.

There are other institutions such as PSG Tech, CIT, Sri Ramakrishna
College
of Engg, etc. -- but I am not quite sure about the connect between the
student activists and the dept persons.
