Dear all,
Yesterday I had a discussion with a management of SCS Matric school
in Chromepet. The school is organising a science exhibition to their
students and their parents on 15th Aug.
They have requested ILUGC to participate in the same. We will get
about 2-3 computers to demo opensource softwares related to
education. I am in the process of requesting them to allow general
public between 3pm-5pm for this demo.
Since, this is going to be a small show, we need about 4-5 volunteers
only. Right now me and Mr.Baskar have stared the ground work. I
request 2 or 3 people to join me.
They have also agreed to organise one day training workshop to
teachers in association with Lions Club.It will be somewhere during
third week of september 2005.
About this school: It is located in Nehru Nagar,Chromepet a
residential are. The now defunct demo-schools project of ILUGC
members was first started here 2002.
