We, the members of the Indian Linux Users Group, Chennai (ILUGC), have been
discussing the architecture and components that make up the UIDA project.
We have been informed that it primarily uses proprietary components. But,
none of our sources have authentic information on this. Hence, as concerned
citizens, we are writing this to you so we can have valid information to
base our discussions on. In this regard, we would like to know the various
software components (along with vendor information) that are used in the
UIDA project.

Yes this letter looks good.

They have a section for technical architecture here.

We can request them to publish another diagram with product and vendor
label for each component.

It is OK if they have proprietary software at the client side. They must
support both proprietary OS and FOSS OS at the client side given the wide
deployment of clients.  It is NOT OK if they use proprietary software at
the server side. ( MS SQL, ASP, IIS etc ).
