Thanks Chander.. I have already installed latest modutils and kernel
2.6.8.1.
But I have a doubt. I already have KDE 3 which was installed with RedHat
8. Now I want to upgrade it to the latest KDE. I have to uninstall the
present kde or i have to proceed with the upgrade option?

for linux-2.6.x is modutils, which I upgraded to modutils-2.4.25-8 (Google
for this; there are probably more recent versions around) on Redhat 7.3.
The same should work on RedHat 8.0 as well, if built from SRPM.
KDE related rpms and src.rpms on www.kde.org. How to go about it
You can simply install the kde rpms from the RedHat 8 CDs, or better
still, rebuild the SRPMs from RedHat 7.3, which doesn't have any of the
Bluecurve crap. If you choose to go with source from kde.org, there
will probably be a number of dependancies to resolve (I haven't tried
that yet).
