I've been having this doubt for a long time and I wanted to know what
the community feels about this.
During Kernel Compilation , we can either build modules or have the
feature compiled into the kernel.
I personally prefer having a monolithic kernel with all the features
compiled in.
I use *no modules*, I have a minimal configuration with just the bare
necesseties.
Ex: I don't have support for parallel port etc
I feel this speeds up the boot time by a few seconds.
Is this the right way to go about it, or would I be better off
Having a modular kernel ?
