Thank You Sir. Let me explain what I did, my network
is 172.30.1.0
the gateway server is assigned with 172.30.1.1, the
mail server has a LAN
interface and I assigned 172.30.1.2 to it. This is my
setup.
On my clients, Outlook I changed the SMTP (sending)
ip to
172.30.1.2, this worked, but for POP3 (receiving)
172.30.1.2 IP didn't
worked. So I have to change the POP3 IP back to the
global IP. So what
happens is, sending mails are fast, but receiving
mails is slow as it has to
travel the 2 networks (Touchtel --> VSNL).
Solutions plz!

2 ways u can do that
if u have public ip to the box then u can assign a
virutal ip (private
ip) office lan segment . ask everybody to use the ip
to download
mails.
