FC3 uses 'udev' a new feture that dynamically manage /dev/ directory.
I suspect this could cause trouble for you.
There had been enough debates on adopting udev
or not. according to Gregs paper

udev seems to be the need of tomorrow. So,
instead of shying away from it, i'd rather
recommend you to find out the real problem and
fix them.
