If you are really passionate about FOSS and want
to prove yourself, do something on your own.. come up with a project or
contribute to some project..
I am lucky enough to have my cient - Ma Foi Academy allows me to use open
source and not just that, they also allow me to contribute individual
modules we develop inside back to the community.
