1. We eat-drink-sleep Open Source
2. You get to choose what projects you want to work on
3. You can concurrently do your MS by research or PhD
4. It looks damn good on your resume
5. Just after graduation is the right time to take a couple of years
off to do what you *really* want to do before pursuing the god of
mammon and his friends
6. And, although it sounds old-fashioned and uncool, your country
needs you
