My honest opinion.. If you are really passionate about FOSS and want
to prove yourself, do something on your own.. come up with a project or
contribute to some project.. like what you did for netbeans.. don't
expect your company to pay you to work on open source projects, it
rarely happens. you should be really lucky if you get enough free time
to work on hobby projects, while working for some good company.
