Hi All,
Myself, Selvaraj and Naren are went to UCH on Sunday 11AM and
installed 8 machines with Edubuntu. And helped them to setup the
computer center.
We went with 2 DVD drives and installed new Ubuntu 7.10 from the DVD .
After installation only, we came to know that, it doesn't have any
games like gcomprise, childplay...
So we tried to install games from the Debian DVDs and Edubendu 6.2.
But nothing worked. Next from Internet using Tata Indicom USB Modem.
But speed was very very less. So that idea also dropped.
Finally we installed all machines with old Edubundu 6.2 CD.
UCH is having lot of *USEFUL* educational VCDs(?) from APF[1]. But all
runs only on Windoz with flash player. Recently I saw a flash player
on Mandriva. Did anyone tried to run such VCD(?) with that player??
Thanks to Amachu for the new Ubuntu DVD and Thanks to MaSiva for
helping to setup the Tata Indicom USB modem using wvdial.
