[Ilugc] [OT] good institutions and cities

Standard of education within a universitiy
campus/training facility has nothing to do with the
facilities provided by the government in a city. Just
There are good universities in small cities/towns too.
I believe that a good institution is one which teaches you to think
and solve problems yourself. Not one which solves the problem for you
and exhorts you to imitate. Usually in a big city one gets to meet
varied people and ones world view expands. This helps in overall
intellectual development. Though institutions in smaller towns are at
a disadvantage, where the institution itself takes the lead in
bringing people from many walks of life to interact and encourage
diversity it will turn out more well rounded graduates.
As for Linux to grow, I do not think it depends on the presence of
good institutions. All it needs is the presence of people with a
passion to solve problems themselves.
