To add Raja's comments, I'd rather be interested in donating my CPU
cycles for something more productive (say, to empower a cluster that
might help GPS tracking, weather forecast, rural education, agricultural
infrastructure or anything more practical) than wasting it to help some
research project which _can_ be dubious, and merely pointless. Is it so
important for us to establish alien contact at all (i.e., even if it stands to
be practically possible - which I personally doubt) when we (human race)
have so much to do, in order to progress towards our own stability and
sustainability for the generations to come ?
