I'm not that good in Linux to answer your question, but would tell you that
whenever I try accessing the CD from KDE desktop in RH9, it hangs... and I
am not able to take out the CD. Nothing happens and the system remains as if
I didn't do anything. No effect even through commands in CLI....the system
keeps on blinking...I usually restart to get the CD-drive detected and then
eject to get the CD back in full shape. There is no problem when I access
files in CD from Gnome...Is there some problem in the installation?
Sounds crazy...One desktop works while another doesn't (on the same system)
