You can import one laptop duty free and so - for a comparable rate, you
could fly to Singapore or Bangkok on a low cost carrier like Tiger Airways,
Nok Air, Air India Express etc, land there early in the morning, buy your
laptop there (and roam around the city for a while), then come back home on
the night flight.
