I have found Planner to be more than good enough -- and it is free
software to boot.
But does planner open existing M$ Project files
since Projity does and is also so remarkably similar to M$
Project. For those who cannot afford the licensing of Project but have
to use Project files, seems like a good option.
I have never tried. I think there are some efforts in that
regard, but I have no idea how complete they are. But if all you want
to do is project planning, there is a Linux tool that performs as well
as the expensive, closed source MS offering.
You know, this is a forum for free software -- so we can at
least pretend to prefer free software -- when the functionality is the
same in the free version. I find projity to be far more expensive than
planner -- too expensive for me.
