bah, what chauvinism. I cant understand while lugs will wave the
indic computing flag everywhere, why they have problem in Indic name
?
Because it is their *goal* to enable computing in local languages. I
haven't seen anywhere that this conference is only limited to
localization. So create a track on Tamil localization, and give it a
tamil name. No harm done.
Everyone wants to have an International conference no one is
interested in having a local conference.
A local conference need not be local in it's aspirations. There is
nothing wrong in bringing international perspective to a local
conference. It informs and inspires. When you bring such diverse
perspectives to a conference, it helps if the language is commonly
understood. So stop arguing for the sake of it, and try to understand
what others are actually saying.
