Sorry, forgot to mention this. I am not even able to ping an external IP.
When connected using KNetworkManager, I get the following output for PPPD0.

Not able to ping even 192.168.99.99
I already tried with a set of DNS servers for Tata Indicom in the
configuration (nameserver 203.197.12.30, nameserver 202.54.1.18). Changed
the DNS entries to the OpenDNS addresses give by you, still not working.
Could this be due to my network settings for LAN? Where should I look to
change the settings for working with ppp connection?
