Get to the console (Ctrl+Alt+F1), login as root, and run:
X -configure
This will drop an XF86Config (or xorg.conf if FC2 uses xorg) in /root. Copy
this file (or move it if you prefer) to /etc/X11
If this doesn't work, manually configure using either xf86config (text mode)
or xf86cfg (gui). XOrg's equivalents are xorgconfig and xorgcfg.
That should be all that's necessary, unless you want some extra things - then
you've got to edit the file.
