which distro - does everything work under the installed distro?
The acers come with some random taiwanese linux as the default OS (much
like some vendors sell a PC with just ms-dos or pc-dos installed to cut
costs). You're strongly encouraged to blow that away and install ubuntu
or fc5. In fact the dealer will quite probably offer to sell you a
pirated XP to replace the "useless" OS on the box where nothing -
wireless, etc, works.
