I'm pretty happy with an acer travelmate .. sleek, light aluminium and
plastic shell. a bit cheaper - slightly lighter
and dont bother with the carry case a laptop manufacturer bundles -
theyre always junk. a good caselogic case will only set you back another
2k or so, tops - far lighter, sleeker. Those are made in hong kong, you
can buy them at witco etc.
<commercial>I got a more or less like new caselogic - anybody wants it
ping me. i got a much nicer laptop case at a conference i went to, so
using that one instead</commercial>
