Hi Friends,
Iam maintaining a data server of 500GB.
Sharing these data thro NFS and AUTOMOUT for linux
users (90%).
thro SAMBA for Windows users (10%).
There are 50 staff, Now a days the file accessing
speed becoming very slow and the server too. (because
large size of data mounted on the client system to
access a single/small file)
Even i have setup timeout 300sec. on nfs and
automount. But it is not effective.
At the end of next month (sept) the staff count will
cross to 90-100 nos.
I feel the existing setup won't work.
Is there any alternate solution for NFS,Automount &
Samba.
note: I am using HP High end severs (DML series rack).
Please send me your suggestions.
