1. Do you issue the cvs init command again after changing
group of CVSROOT ?
2. Who is the owner of CVSROOT ? root ? In that case, does
that happen when root (or owner) issues any cvs command ?
I had created a user called cvs with his own group(cvs), and
used that login to setup things.
chown -R cvs.cvs /usr/local/cvsroot
