afaik there is no foss tool for colour separation for print quality -
colour separation means producing 4 positives/negatives on film for
the 4 colours - cyan, magenta, yellow and black. These four colours
are then printed on the paper to get a multicolour printout.
Am not conversant in these matters but I hear Scribus can do this
