Cool; learnt a new tool for the day :)
I have been using 'ntop' for many years - it gives a more global
picture i.e. of the entire LAN that is visible to the host it is
running on.
It has a nice WebUI and shows bandwidth usage by hosts and further
breakdown by protocols/services.
Also, tcpdump is handy for quick snapshot of traffic on the wire.
