Going to tldp.org and just reading random howtos is ineffective imho.
Instead, try to learn new things as you use Linux on a day-to-day
basis. Like you said, how to access windows partitions. Look up tldp,
search google for this particular topic. You'll find answers to your
questions and also learn some other interesting things along the way.
Tomorrow, you'll want to play mp3 files. More task based learning :-)
