I have Fedora 7 installed on Compaq Presario v3139 AU.
My problem is that my system hangs whenver i login as root user in GUI mode.
I can login anytime to a non-root user
i can login as root only at command-line.
if i type "startx", the system logs in , dislplays wallpaper and then hangs.
this happens only in root user.
and i can use the "su" command.
so what may be the problem. where can i see the error generated.
