hi,
heres a trick that worked for my tata indicom, reinstall the existing
installation and check for the files wvdial.conf and resolv.conf, browse
the internet for a few minutes and restart the computer , check whether
the files have been changed, this happens when u boot up with ur phone
connected to the pc, so connect ur phone only after the welcome screen,
also download webmin from http://www.webmin.com and install it, now in ;
the networking section there will be a ppp dialup client link, u can
connect from there too. the reason is webmin provides u with a nice gui
in a browser to manage all ur system tasks
