have to logon using

GDM on the remote PC, only then you'll be able to

vncview that

desktop.

I would suggest the following: Make sure you've got

openssh-server

installed on the remote PC. Now from the client, do

ssh rd-desktop

(assuming network is up).

Start a VNC server by "vncserver :1"

The first time you run this, it will ask you for a

password.

Now from the client, connect to the remote PC, by

"vncviewer rd-desktop:1"
