For me, when I tried Fedora, the Wifi didn't work whereas it worked
with Ubuntu. The interface came up as ath0. I believe most cards work
only if you use ndiswrappers and windows drivers (or some such) which
Fedora refuses to do.
Binand - the guy is using a centrino (aka ipw2200) driver. Intel has a
native linux driver for it -
http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net
So no need to use a wrapper like ndiswrapper to run windows drivers for
the card.
ath0 suggests that your card is on an Atheros chipset. You dont need
ndiswrapper for that either.
http://www.madwifi.org is your friend.
Prashanth - did you put the firmware - available from
ipw2200.sourceforge.net - for your ipw2200 card into the appropriate
location? Say /lib/firmware? [find the appropriate location for your
distro]
