I bet you're thinking about something called Notes Buddy. This was available from IBM's Alphaworks site. I don't think Sametime 7.5 has had a self voicing plug in until recently. I don't think there was ever a self voicing feature with Sametime 3.1, which was the version prior to Sametime 7.5.
