Subject: [jawsscripts] making menu bar accessible

Hello all,
I am scripting an application and trying to make the menu bar =
accessible. Its current behavior is the following:
If I press alt + f I hhave access to the items in the file menu. This =
same statement is true to all of the other menus in the menu bar.
If, however, I press only the alt key to give me access to the menu bar =
nothing happens.
If I use the activateMenuBar() function, I am placed in the menu bar,.
I can right and left arrow through the menus, but jaws won't speak the =
name of the currently selected menu, although if I press the down arrow =
I am able to hear the items of tthat menu.
So let's supose I have three menus in the application, file edit and =
view.
If I press the alt key nothing happens.
If I press alt+f I am successfully able to access the file menu items, =
such as open, close and save.
if I use the activateMenuBar scripting function, I am placed on the menu =
bar, but jaws doesn't speak the currently selected menu.
If I, for example, after placed in the menu bar, press the right arrow =
once, jaws doesn't speak nothing, but if I press down arrow, I have =
access to the items of the edit menu, such as copy and find, so I know =
that the right and left arrows are in fact selecting menus in the menu =
bar, the only problem is the miss of jaws feedback.
This said, it's a common problem that I found in more than one =
application, and I have no idea about how to fix this. VMware servver =
has this problem also, and this feature is missing in ty scripts, =
although I am scripting at the moment a different application Do you =
know how can I make jaws read the menu bar correctly?
Thanks,
Marlon
