Hi All,
Just a quick update, the Black-throated Gray is still there and I finally found
a Bell’s Vireo!!! See my notes below for location, etc. Unless the timing is
just right, the Black-throated Gray was not an easy find this morning. Four of
us looked unsuccessfully from 10:30-1:15. It must be spending its time between
multiple locations.

1 hummingbird sp. -- Looked smaller than the black-chinned that it was right
next to, but only got a quick look before it flew. Female. White throat and
chest. Green back. Pretty sure wings were the same length as tail. Hunched,
like an Anna’s is when perched.

3 flycatcher sp. (Tyrannidae sp.) -- Thought Least, but Drew thought to may
have been hearing “whits” from a Dusky. At least 2 that looked like Least to
me. One with a full, even, eye ring and one with white mainly near the back of
the eye. Both white throats, gray upper chests and yellow stomachs. One with a
full orange lower mandible and black upper. Narrow tails, primary projection
was obvious and looked like maybe 1/4”, but I don’t have much experience with
comparing projections yet. Double wingbars and edged secondaries and
tertiaries.
1 Bell's Vireo -- Olive back, two faint wing bars, yellow wash to sides, plain
face for a vireo with just a little white mainly above the eye. Came out a few
times. Possibly 2. In the shrubs by the large stone benches.

1 Black-throated Gray Warbler -- Originally found by Jim Crites. Saw around
1:15 just as I was ready to leave. Flew in from the NW to the 2 pine trees by
the “sensory garden” next to the Garden and Arts Center. Started low in the
pine and worked its way up. Adult. Black cap, mask, and throat. Gray upperside
with 2 wingbars and light edged secondaries and tertiaries. White underside
with white tail with black edges. Heavily streaked black sides. Yellow spot
between eye and bill. Black bill. Very active and lightly flicking tail.
Silent. Only foraged for a couple of minutes before it appeared to fly to the
back side of the tree, but I couldn’t refind. Flew in a SE direction when I
lost sight of it. Had previously checked these trees 3x and spend a good deal
of time doing so. It is spending its time in multiple locations.
