Found a road-killed adult female Cooper’s Hawk on south loop 289 and Slide road
yesterday.March 8. First adult road killed acceptor I’ve found. Really
beautiful bird in otherwise good flesh. Didn’t take measurements but weighed on
a digital scale: 20.5 oz which puts her on the upper range for females and
bigger than virtually all males.
