We at TREE Foundation are looking for an environmentally conscious,
passionate and enthusiastic person with a zeal to create change to join
our team  as a Program Coordinator.

*Job description*: TREE Foundation was established in 2002 with the aim of
protecting all endangered marine life with a special emphasis on marine
turtles. The Foundation operates on the principles of inclusion of all
demographics of people, integrity, openness and fairness.



We are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic person with a
passion for marine life/biodiversity to join our team in the position of
Program Coordinator. Environmental Science/biology  background preferable.


Reporting directly to TREE Foundations Chairperson or Program Manager your
responsibilities will include:

 1. Sea turtle conservation, community outreach and compiling data and
preparing reports.

2.Conducting awareness programs, designing survey sheets, leaflets and
posters for the ghost net program, preparing reports

3.Overseeing educational outreach and awareness programs to schools

4. Coordinating any conferences or workshops conducted by TREE Foundation.


As the coordinator you should be capable of working flexible hours during
turtle nesting seasons and on the occasion of either sea turtle or marine
mammal stranding. Suitable candidates will possess excellent Tamil and
English language skills, both oral and written, have an excellent and
professional telephone manner and be comfortable talking to large groups of
people. Candidates will ideally already have 3 to 5 years experience in a
dynamic work environment, operating within a team in either a supervisory
or managerial capacity. The successful candidate may expect to receive a
good salary of Rs 25,000( Twenty five thousand) per calendar month and Rs
10,000 ( Boarding and Lodging allowance) will serve a probationary period
of 6 months. For more details see attached.
