Do you expect your TV to incorporate a PVR, Craig? If yes, you would have a 
point. If no, then clearly a separate box that allows for "anytime viewing" 
would be expected to allow for time shifting of OTA programs. Even if such time 
shifting *might* not be essential for Internet-based TV.

If this Apple box does not provide time shift recording, then that's one more 
reason to pass it up.

The victim mentality again?

You are happy to complain about being at the mercy of the congloms, oddly 
enough, and ignoring being at the mercy of Apple or of the MVPDs. On the other 
hand, I watch conglom content regularly and don't feel the least bit at their 
mercy. Unless those who would help abolish FOTA TV get their way, that is.
