Mr. Bordkin is up to his usual tricks. 

The court decision appears to be well founded. The increasing number of robo 
calls has no relationship to this rule. But Commissioner Rosenworcel seems 
unaware that The Chairman IS doing something about this. 

"One thing is clear in the wake of today's court decision: robocalls will 
continue to increase unless the FCC does something about it," Rosenworcel 
said Friday. "That means that the same agency that had the audacity to take 
away your net neutrality rights is now on the hook for protecting you from 
the invasion of annoying robocalls. It's past time for the American public to 
get a serious response from the FCC—and a reprieve from the unrelenting 
nuisance these calls have become for so many of us."


Sorry Commissioner, but the Commission has always been on the hook to deal with 
Robocalls; or to be completely accurate, since the law was passed in 1991. 
Maybe if the FTC could deal with this we might make more progress, but 
telephony is still the responsibility of the FCC. And the FCC did not take away 
any meaningful Net Neutrality protections, as they never had the authority to 
impose the Title II decision in the first place.

I was not aware that Pai authorized carriers to block calls from invalid 
numbers. Hopefully they will start doing this.
