The Xfinity To Go app allows me to access most of the popular "cable" channels for live programming and also most of the On Demand library. What is NOT available are the broadcast networks. I only use the app during the fall NCAA football season and the winter NCAA basketball season to watch an MSU game if I am away from a TV. If the Spartans are on a broadcast network, I'm out of luck.

Three weeks ago we went on a trip from Michigan to Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, and Kentucky. The TV Go app worked everywhere I tried it with friend's Wi-Fi. At hotel Wi-Fi it was worthless due to bandwidth starvation. It also works with LTE, but it sucks the data so quickly that I have cellular data disabled for the TV Go app. I just now turned on cellular data for this app, turned off Wi-Fi, and confirmed it does work with Verizon FTE. (And sucked 6.8 mb of data watching 30 seconds of the Weather Channel.)

I'm not surprised that it works anywhere in the country because 1) it doesn't stream local or national broadcast networks so it doesn't have to worry about which market the device happens to be, and 2) access is login controlled so it is associated with my Comcast subscription.

One question for John. You note you can access Your Comcast content via your iPhone. How does the Comcast Go app work if you are not using Comcast broadband? For example with your wireless provider?
