Contracts.
Not very credible. Comcast would not be offering exactly the same bundles as
they do over the old MVPD net anyway. What would be the point of duplicating
what every MVPD subscriber already receives? (Hear the echo?)
The idea would be to offer something much more like Sling TV, but a different
mix. I see no reason why every MVPD would not get into this game, exploiting
the neutral Internet, not being restricted to just their own infrastructure and
just their own neighborhoods. If Dish can do it, if Sony can do it, why would
existing MVPDs just sit by idle, and watch everything change in front of their
eyes?
