Actually I don't think CW really has any non-telecined HD video content, at least that I watch. I'll bet they could do a very good conversion from 1080i to wide screen 480p (using only the odd fields) at 24 or 30 FPS and make a decent looking sub-channel out of it without really wasting many more bits. If it had to be a sub-channel I'd much prefer that.
Just let it be a bit jerky on the rare video source. - Tom Craig Birkmaier wrote:

I have no idea why the CW & NBC aren't available in HD. Someone said it was contract negotiations for NBC but nobody has even mentioned why I can't watch Smallville, Supernatural, and Veronica Mars in HD here.NBCHD is missing because of a retransmission consent dispute. The CW is a sub-channel on WCJB-DT. There's not enough room for ABCHD and CWHD. If enough people raised a stink, however, WCJB could provide a direct feed of CWHD to Cox cable, as they do now for the ABC feeds.Regards Craig ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways:- Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
