This really would not help - at some point you need the detail in the stream you are doing the cross fade to. So it would be more like a fade to blur then a fade up to the next stream. As i said, the solution is to move some of this tough stuff to the receiver where it belongs. And in so doing you can add many other new services...

Think of the TV as your master control and downstream keyer...

The ability to put the logo bug in the right place for different screens (or to turn it off), is just one possibility.
