I'm not sure about any of the other versions, but I was unfortunate enough to 
actually play the C64 version a couple of months ago.  It was dire, a tacky 
platform game which made little effort with the LW license (the main character 
had a green cape and you could choose Kai skills, but they had little effect on 
the gameplay).

I had some hardware problems, but now I'm hopefully back.

Indeed. Judging from the description the game must be really bad.
