Anyway, even my crappy German is enough to tell that this is a four paragraph butchery of the game
which the reviewer names as the "worst action game of all time".

Indeed. Judging from the description the game must be really bad.

Heh heh! No one's saying it's a masterpiece, but it should certainly be documented on, and preferably linked from, our site.

I'm not sure about any of the other versions, but I was unfortunate enough to actually play the C64 version a couple of months ago. It was dire, a tacky platform game which made little effort with the LW license (the main character had a green cape and you could choose Kai skills, but they had little effect on the gameplay).

(Press 1 - 4 to use the Kai skills during the (impossible) game.) IMHO the Spectrum 128K version was the pick of the 8-bit versions, though I haven't tried the PC version. This may in part stem from having "POKEs" for the game that guarantee invulnerability and infinite lives, which is the only way I would ever have found myself even remotely near to the end. I completed it using the invulnerability, and it's mega-hard--I would say impossible. But then, 8-bit games are much harder than 16-bit games or higher. Which is why I would like to be able to track down a 16-bit version of the game, if such a thing exists. And what a coup that would be!!
