read this on the Project Aon forum today - sounds like a good case for a footnote (in Book 3, Caverns of Kalte) The Kalkoth death is weird with respect to logic as well. You die as soon as you take damage because the poison paralyses you and the creature eats you. But with the low Skill values of Kalkoths. you can easily kill one in one blow, even as it wounds you for 1 or 2 EP. And the poison itself doesn't kill you - there's proof of this in one section of the book, where you wake up after being stung/bitten by a Kalkoth tongue and discover your guides have been killed while you were unconscious. So in all fairness and logic, all other Kalkoth battles should read : "If you lose Endurance points and the creature is still alive, turn to 66". That's the way I've played it ever since I figured out that the poison isn't fatal. -- David Davis
