I can understand NCB's position, I was just making the point that that is why I 
think a meeting of VICS apple users would be very useful, in view of the fact 
that NCBI don't supply the Macs.

In fairness to Stuart and NCBI, I think this is a totally reasonable decision.  
NCBI, in my view anyway, shouldn't actually be selling any computers whether 
apple, Dell, Toshiba etc.  Sure they can (and are willing to) give advice on 
how well such-and-such a brand works with, say NVDA or Jaws etc.  Apple 
computers come with the screenreader preinstalled; as do all i-devices.  
Therefore, there is no financial or other advantage to be gained by NCBI 
selling Apple computers.
