I know this has nothing to do with the weather and please don't take this the wrong way but most websites should be axcessable as there is probably a few blind people in every part of the world so they should be intitled to use the internet through blind frieldly websites
I just want to make that particular point
regards
sarah

Hi Nicholas,

It is probably not reasonable for us to demand that every Web site be made blind-friendly and accessible. but this isn't just any Web site. The weather matters, and so do the forecasts to everyone, especially in the extreme weather events we've been experiencing lately. . Also, it is a public service. there are people with dual sensory impairments for whom making premium phone calls isn't a good option. those are the arguments 'pro'. (pun not really intended!)

Hi, I have looked at this site in the recent past and yes, I didn't really
manage to get much information from it. I suppose that its not that they
are intentionally not having it accessible but just presenting the
information the way they would say on TV. The only thing that they could
do to correct this in some way is have a text only five day outlook. Now,
they will also say that they have a premium phone service you can call or
you can hear weather updates via news bulletins and other such media
outlets but then you also have to consider the work they might have to do
in creating a text only page. How much work will it create and for how
many people? Is it reasonable for us to demand that every single website be
blind friendly?
