Hi,

This was, in part, a test to see if an attachment would get through.

I agree that attachments should not be allowed onto the list directly. they should go to the moderator who can make a call on whether or not they should be allowed.

Having said this, I hope that nobody is saying that fun using technology is not a part of the VICS list. What about all those who use music editing software and other technology tools just for fun?

Take care,

Hi to thelist,

Please no more sending attachments to this list. I am going to prevent this
from happening again as we all know what attachments can do in the wrong
hands.

Thank you.

Paul.
List Moderator.

Hi, fellow fans of fabulous football,

I don't know if this list will allow attachments, but here goes anyway ...

Please find attached a spreadsheet for keeping tabs on the World cup over
the next few weeks. a nice feature is that when you record all the results
for the first round, the teams that go forward to the next round are
automatically put into the correct boxes. this works right through to the
final on July 9th.

The starting times shown are those in Germany, so take away one hour to get
Irish starting times.

For all games, place the scores in the two boxes between the names of the
two teams.

For the first rounds of matches, just put the result into the appropriate
boxes. If the game is a draw just record the score and no further action is
required.

In subsequent rounds, the competition becomes knock-out, so there may be
extra time and even penalties. In this case, record the score after 90
minutes in the usual boxes, then record the result after extra time or the
result of the penalty shoot-out in the next two boxes after the name of the
second team (i.e. columns g and H).

for those who don't have excel, there's always paper and either a pen or a
stylus!

For those who don't like football, there's always suicide!

By the way, I didn't write this thing, it was on a web site (a reputable
one). More information is available there.

Enjoy.
